This office is one of the many
national
offices of the W3C, which also operate, among others, in
Germany, Italy, ,Hong-Kong, Sweden, Australia or the United
Kingdom. The national W3C offices make it sure that the W3C
and its specifications become known in these countries, too.
Furthermore, the office forwards any local feedback to the
W3C. The geographic spread of offices ensures that the WWW
becomes really accessible for the whole world.
In particular, the Israeli W3C
office:
- advances the awarness to W3C standards
- supports local events
(conferences, workshops, W3C working group meetings)
- is a forum for the Israeli members of the W3C
- feeds back local input to the W3C
- spreads the results of the W3C
through press releases and talks all over the country
